ADS is needed to process forms in an ABAP environment, the ABAP transaction dynpros or Web Dynpro ABAP applications. After installation on the AS Java, the ADS need to be configured in order to be available for form processing.
Version EP7.3 , ADS also installed on same server. ECC6 EHP5
Technical Details :
1. After installation, perform the basic ADS configuration automatically as described in http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27538.
2. Perform the basic ADS configuration ( ABAP ) manually to change or correct configurations as shown below.
2.1 Create the system user required for the secure communication between the Forms Processing Framework ABAP and the ADS running on an AS Java .
2.1.1 Create the user ADSUSER as system user from transaction SU01.
2.1.2 Create the Role ADSCALLERS from transaction PFCG without any authorization and assign it to ADSUSER.
2.1.3 Start user administration tool from http://host:port/useradmin. Search for role SAP_ADSCALLER.Assign this role to ADSUSER and add UME Action "AdobeDocumentServicesADSCaller" to this role.
2.2 Create a connection from the ABAP environment to the ADS.
If forms processing is triggered by ABAP-based application, Connection is needed between the Forms Processing Framework (ABAP) and the ADS running on AS Java.
Login to ECC and call SM59 transaction and open ADS or create ADS RFC Destination with connection type as G.
Choose the Technical settings tab and maintain details as shown below.
Choose the Logon & Security tab , choose Basic authentication and enter the user ADS and its password.
2.3 Create the Service User for Communication with ADS.
Logon to ECC and create ADS_AGENT user as Service user from transaction SU01 and assign the standard role
2.4 Activate the ICF Service.
Activate Internet Communication Framework (ICF) service needed for the communication between the Destination service (on the AS Java) and the AS ABAP from SICF Transaction.
Choose Default_Host -> sap -> bc -> fp / fpads . Right click and activate.
2.5 Creating the Destination Service for Communication with ADS.
Login to NWA using http://host:port/nwa and navigate to Configuration -> Security -> Destinations. Choose Create to create new destination with Destination name
FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>, where <SID> is ABAP system, and choose HTTP for the Destination Type. Under Connection, enter the message server (or Web Dispatcher) of the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP in the URL field:
Under Logondata , Choose authentication as Basis ( User ID and Password ) and use ADS_AGENT user credentials.
After completion of above steps , ADS is ready for use in ABAP environment.
