The CLC concept was rolled out recently and there has been a lot of questions about this concept

There are three main GB scenarios most commonly reported that CLCs are used in or could be used in

  1. SAP_HR payroll for one country version in one system
  2. SAP_HR payroll for many countries in one system
  3. SAP_HR payroll for many countries across different systems managed by the same team/schedule

In scenario 1 - which is often the landscape for GB customers or GB based teams managing just GB payroll, this scenario has the following considerations :

  1. Customers will have the ability to skip some rounds of immediate full HRSP testing at certain points in time where legal changes are time critical and available via CLC
  2. Customers will still need to follow the HRSP program at a later date - by implementing the sync HRSP highlighted at www.service.sap.com/ocs-schedules
  3. Although every effort will be made to deliver via CLC or SNOTE - the CLC process does not rule out HRSP delivery for some fixes/functionality

In scenario 2 and 3 - this is the scenario which should feel the biggest benefit of CLC - there are many Global employers operating in the UK market which require GB legal changes:

  1. Customers should be able to skip several rounds of immediate full HRSP testing for the countries they run payroll for - including GB
  2. Customers will still need to follow the HRSP program at a later date - by implementing the sync HRSP highlighted at www.service.sap.com/ocs-schedules
  3. Again although every effort will be made to deliver via CLC or SNOTE - the CLC process does not rule out HRSP delivery for some fixes/functionality

In addition there was a few questions on where to find CLCs, these are available as follows

www.service.sap.com/swdc -->

  • Support Packages and Patches -->
  • A-Z index -->
  • Search under "H" for "HR Legal Country Change packages"
  • Open link SAP_HR
  • Each country will be listed by SAP_HRC<iso code> e.g SAP_HRCGB
  • No labels
