Telnet commands related to the Web Container

Applies to:
SAP NetWeaver 7.1 and higher

To use these commands, enable the HTTP group with ADD HTTP.

application_alias
Manages application aliases
-application_alias|cat -n - Checks the number of aliases
-list_app|cat -n - Checks the number of applications
USAGE: application_alias -host <hostName> <aliasName> -disable | -enable] [JSTSG:-printAppName]
Parameters:
-host <host name> - the virtual host name. If it is not specified, the default host is displayed
<aliasName> - the name of an alias on the virtual host
-disable - disable the alias on the specific host
-enable - enable the alias on the specific host
-printAppName - if an alias is available - the name of the application that owns this alias, else - list of application aliases grouped by application

When used without parameters, the command lists all application aliases available on the virtual host (if specified).
If only <aliasName> is specified, the command returns if this alias is available on the virtual host.

clear_http_cache
Removes all files in the cache previously stored there by the HTTP Provider Service.
When using the cache, if a file has been modified, the cache returns the previous content (not the modified one). For a modification to take effect, the cache has to be cleared first and then it will cache the new content.

host
Manages virtual hosts
USAGE: HOST <hostName> [JSTSG:-add] [JSTSG:-remove] [JSTSG:-root <httpRootPath>] [JSTSG:-startPage <startPagePath>]
[-enable | JSTSG:-disable log] [-enable | JSTSG:-disable cache] [-enable | JSTSG:-disable dirList]
Parameters:
<hostName> The virtual host name
-add - adds a new virtual host
-remove - removes the specified virtual host
-root <httpRootPath> - sets the specified path as a http root
-startPage <startPagePath> - sets the specified path as a http start page
-enable\ -disable log - enables\ disables logging
-enable\ -disable cache - enables\ disables caching
-enable\ - disable dirList - enables\ disables directory listing
-enable\ -disable keepAlive - enables\ disables keep-alive

Used without parameters, the command lists all virtual hosts with their properties.
If only <hostName> is specified, the command lists all properties of the host.
Each parameter except <hostName> forces this host cache cleaning (even when the parameter is not recognized).

http_alias
Manages http aliases.
USAGE: http_alias [JSTSG:-host <hostName>] <alias> [JSTSG:path] [JSTSG:-remove]
Parameters:
-host <hostName> - the virtual host name. If it is not specified, the default host is displayed.
<alias> - the alias name. If only <alias> is specified, the command returns the alias path.
<path> - the alias path.
-remove - removes the alias.

Used without parameters, the command lists all http aliases with their paths.
Example:
http_alias <alias> <path> - creates http alias with alias name specified with <alias> and alias path - <path>.
