Case1: “Characteristic <info Object> has no Master Data for <Technical ID>”. In Release 7.01, this function is deactivated by default. Therefore, if you enter an incorrect value, the system issues an error message and the value is deleted. To reactivate the old behavior, set the RSDAMIN parameter ALLOW_INVALID_VARIABLE_VALUES in the ABAP back end to "X" (transaction SE38 ->SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN) and DISABLE_NO_MASTER_DATA_WARNING=X.
Case2: Use the program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN to set the RSADMIN parameter as follows: RSMD_RS_TXTSEARCH=X.

Case6: Characters such as '*', ';', '!', '>', '<', '=' etc. have a special meaning since they are used as operators, separators, wild cards etc. The escape character was introduced via note 1133107 to ensure that the parser correctly interprets special characters when these occur as part of the master data and does not consider them in the context of their special meaning.

Case8: Text wrapping for lengthy variable descriptions in the variable screen is not performed in Web Java Runtime and the description is truncated. In the case of Internet Explorer (IE) and Safari browsers, an ellipsis is displayed at the point of truncation to indicate a truncated text. So now it will be easy for the end user to comprehend that there is a truncation of the text. The entire text can still be seen with the help of the tooltip.
Case9: This is due to program error. Please check the note: 1459876 for more information.
Case10: This is the standard behavior. In the new Web Java Runtime, the default filtering count is 1000 and it cannot be changed. Unfortunately there is no workaround to change it as well.
Case11: The determination of the text type for the node variables in the F4-help is done using the settings made in the InfoObject (RSD1 -> Business Explorer) and InfoProvider (RSDCUBE -> Provider Specific InfoObject Properties). The settings made at query definition level have no effect on the text display in the F4-help. This setting is not taken into account in this case. The settings made at Infoprovider level override the settings at InfoObject level.
