Problem: Executing an APD runs into error message: The amount of data to be read from the BWA server is too large (Message no. RSD_TREX138).
For troubleshooting the issue independently of the APD and directly at BWA/ Data Manager layer, the RSDRI report is to be recorded (SAP support will request it for further proceedings).
Step 1: Activate the RSADMIN parameter via report SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN. In table RSADMIN you can then see the parameter DEBUG_RSDRI.
Step 2: Perform 'Display data' from the context menu on the 'InfoProvider' node in the APD and wait for the error to occur.(CAUTION: If there are filters applied in the subsequent filter nodes, do the 'Display data' on these nodes to capture the correct error message.)
Step 3: Switch off the RSADMIN parameter again via report SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN. Otherwise, other activities using the data manager interface will overwrite the existing debug report.
Step 4: GoTo transaction SE38 and lookup the generated program: Z_RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ_DEBUG. In this program all requested characteristics are found in sfc, all requested key digures in sfk and all filters are transferred via the range structure. For detailed explanantions of these parameters see RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ.
Step 5: For analysis execute the program, it will display the 'Execute&Debug' Selection Options relevant for the Data Manager interface and afterwards stop in the default breakpoint at interface to the data maanger.
