Purpose:

The list of RSADMIN parameters which needs to be used for solving common issues occurring in BW BEx Web in the SAP BW Web Java Runtime.

Overview:

The list of RSADMIN parameters which needs to be used for solving common issues occurring in BW BEx Web in the SAP BW Web Java Runtime.

The RSADMIN parameter is set in the relevant BW Backend system by going to transaction SE38 -> SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN

 

The list of RSADMIN parmaters are as follows:

1)RSWR_EXPORT_INTERNAL_ITEM

Also, please refer the following SAP Note for details and prerequisites:

2)F4_LIMIT_HIERARCHY_MEMBERS

Please do look at the SAP Note for details and prerequisites:

3)EXPORT_HIDDEN_ITEM

Please do look at the following SAP Note for details and prerequisites:

1730163 - 730:Visible item inside hidden group item is not exported.

4)BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_MAX

These are the safety belt parameters. Please look at the following SAP Note for details and prerequisites:

1127156 - Safety belt: Result set is too large

5)RS_ALLOW_WILDCARD_FOR_SELOPT       

 You can set this parameter to X if the following problem occurs: "You executer A Web Template/ Query and in the resultant page you see
a variable screen and try to add wildcard entry in the direct input field, you will get error message as  "The entered value <XXX> is not valid.
Please enter a valid single value" and the value is not added to the right hand side of selection screen. Please do look at the following
SAP Note for details and prerequisites of SP and Patch Level for BI Java components while setting this parameter to X:

6)ALLOW_INVALID_VARIABLE_VALUES

DISABLE_NO_MASTER_DATA_WARNING

The following problem occurs: "While executing the Web Template/Query -> in the resultant page you will see a variable screen and after
entering relevant values you click on Check and OK and then in the resultant page you will see the following error message:
“Characteristic <info Object> has no Master Data for <Technical ID>” and Value " " does not exist; enter a different value

8)RSWR_MIME_OPEN_NEW_WIND

The following problem occurs: "The chart image contained inside a BW Bex report disappeas after exporting a
BW Bex report to Excel , PDF or any other format."

9)BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_XLS

As memory consumption is more while exporting the whole BW BEx report to Excel or PDF,  safety belt parameters can be defined for
Excel or PDF Please refer the following SAP Note regarding this:

10)BICS_ATTRIBUTE_TEXT_DISPLAY

If Query displays key instead of empty text for attributes in BICS, please check the following SAP Note regarding this:

11) RS_BEX_RENDER_JPEG_CHART

For getting the chart in the JPEG format, please refer the following SAP Note which talks about RSADMIN parameter

12)RSWR_ODOC_HIER_INLUCDE

If the documents are not correctly assigned to the selections - especially when one is using variables and filters in variables on hierarchy nodes,

12)RSWR_EXPORT_STRATEGY

If OutofMemory error message occurs while exporting a file then please refer the following SAP Note regarding this:

13)RS_BEX_IGNORE_CHART_METADATA

If there are performance issues with Templates or Queries containing charts when executed in the Web side in Java, then
please refer the following SAP Note regarding this:

1873421 - ChartItem: Bad Chart Performance

14)RS_BEX_DISPLAY_SF_TOOLTIPS

 When executing templates containing charts it is noticed that scaling factors are not displayed in the tooltips.

 In this case, please refer the following SAP Note:

1693100 - ChartItem: Tooltips do not contain scaling factors

15)RSWR_STRING_REUSE_ACTIVE

If there is performance or memory issues occurring during synchronisation,

please refer the following SAP Note regarding this:

16)RSWR_USE_MESSAGE_SNIPPETS

Performance of the system goes down if executing Web Templates or queries in the web side in java  is based on a scenario creating
a huge number of user messages (information, warnings, etc.). In this case, please refer the following SAP Note regarding this:
