=== ENVIRONMENT ===

BI 4.2 SP3

=== SYNOPSIS ===

Creating a new Web Intelligence query by using BI Platform CMS system database.unx

Depending on the list order of the “Relationship” or “Relationships” objects in the query, the results can change. To get the expected results, follow a specific list order:

On the left, insert your object with the default level then in the middle, insert the “Relationship” or “Relationships” objects and on the right, insert the object with the level +1.

From your Query Panel:
Object Level + Relationship Object + Object Level1 = correct results.

From your Query Panel:
Object Level + Object Level1 + Relationship Object = incorrect results

=== OBSERVED BEHAVIOR: ===

From your Query Panel: Object Level + Relationship Object + Object Level1 = correct results.

From your Query Panel: Object Level + Object Level1 + Relationship Object = incorrect results

=== EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: ===
 This is a bug. You should get the same results regardless of the list order.  Planned to be fixed in the next Service Pack.

=== STEPS TO REPRODUCE: ===

  1. Create a new Web Intelligence query by using the imported BI Platform CMS system database.unx.
  2. In the Query Panel, select 1 object (for example “Name” from path InfoObjects\), 1 Relationships Object (for example “Webi-To-Unx” from path Relationships\), select 1 object (for example “Name (L1)” from path InfoObjects (L1)\), and insert them into the Result objects field.
  3. Select the object KIND (from from path InfoObjects\) and insert it into the Query Filters.
  4. Run the query.
  5. Depending on the list order, you will get different results.

=== WORKAROUND ===

  1. On the left, insert your object with the default level.
  2. In the middle, insert the “Relationship” or “Relationships” objects.
  3. On the right, insert the object with the level +1.
