Hello,
You write "Service Pack 8, ETA first quarter 2014, is planned to support VS 2013 as well as WIN 8.1."
I have downloaded the Support Pack 8 (v. 13.0.8.1216) last week, but the runtime installer was not installing easily on our win7-64 bits (we have to uncompressed it and, then, install it properly ..) and, unfortunately, still not working with vs2013 ..
And today, I saw that the sp8 runtime download link (ie 13.0.8.1216) was now unavailable ..
do you have some internal details about that ?
do you think SP8 is still planned to support vs2013 ?
Thank you really much in advance ,
Regards,
Don Williams
Hi Stephanie,
Yes, there was an issue with the uploaded file so I manually uploaded it to our FTP server as a zip file. For that you just ran the setup.exe, requires you to uninstall SP 7 first. We are still having problem uploading the file but once there it should all work fine. I've since taken the link down, we should ahve an updated real exe today...
There was a change in plans, due to some serious regression issues and enhancements so we released an early build of SP 8. Once we get the Fixed issues published you'll see not too many updates but the regression issue were resolved.
Because of this we had to push back the enhancement for both VS 2013 and Windows 8.1 integration/support until SP 9.
Good thing is SP 9 will be out end of February/ Early March so only a few months to wait...
Thank you for your understanding and patience
