Introduction

When configuring the user role that provides the links to start the monitors of SAP NFE as well the process-related settings is necessary to change each menu entry in the role at each server because the Web dynpro application URL depends on the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of these servers.
To avoid the changes to the user role at each server and centrally maintain the URLs you can create records at the SSM_VAR table and refer to these records in the user role menu entries.

Creating the SSM_VAR Records

At transaction SM30 enter the table/view SSM_VAR and click on Maintain button (you can use SM30_SSM_VAR transaction, too).

Now click on New entries button and enter the following records:

Creating the User Role

To customize the role /XNFE/USERMENU use the transaction PFCG.

  • Insert the different monitors in the Menu tab.
  • To do this click the Others button and select Add Web address or file path.

The role /XNFE/USERMENU must contain the following menu entries:
  • NF-e Main MenuAddress: <NFE_WD_SERVER><NFE_WD_DOMAIN><NFE_WD_PORT><NFE_MAIN>
  • NF-e MonitorAddress: <NFE_WD_SERVER><NFE_WD_DOMAIN><NFE_WD_PORT><NFE_NFE_MONITOR>
  • NF-e Batch MonitorAddress: <NFE_WD_SERVER><NFE_WD_DOMAIN><NFE_WD_PORT><NFE_BATCH_MONITOR>
  • NF-e Service Status MonitorAddress: <NFE_WD_SERVER><NFE_WD_DOMAIN><NFE_WD_PORT><NFE_STATUS_MONITOR>
  • NF-e Batch SettingsAddress: <NFE_WD_SERVER><NFE_WD_DOMAIN><NFE_WD_PORT><NFE_MASTER_BATCH>
  • NF-e  Monitor SettingsAddress: <NFE_WD_SERVER><NFE_WD_DOMAIN><NFE_WD_PORT><NFE_MASTER_MCONFIG>

 Conclusion

Creating the menu entries like described in this document provides more flexibility when importing this role at other servers because all you need to change to refer the correct URLs are the records at the SSM_VAR (NFE_WD_SERVER, NFE_WD_PORT records, for example).
