MAXDB cannot be started due to


  • Check all active database sessions and current tasks of the database instance. This will give you an idea what could be wrong - command: dbmcli.exe -u superdba,password -d instanceId show active

In this case, it can be seen that the Log is full, which is the root cause, preventing the database from starting.
To prevent a database standstill caused by a log full situation, you can activate the automatic log backup as shown below - command: dbmcli -u superdba,password -d instanceId util_execute SET LOG AUTO OVERWRITE ON
