Purpose
This WIKI will explain why the BPC add-in macro become disabled automatically in Microsoft Excel.
Overview
SAP BPC product works as an add-in to Microsoft Excel, creating a better experience for users, but sometimes this add-in becomes disabled automatically. This will explain why it happens and how it can help you.
Why does it happen?
Microsoft Office contains several security policies, one of them consists in disable a macro once that it fails three times. SAP does not recommend to disable this security policy, once that this is an extra protection against malicious softwares.
How does it helps me?
Once that a macro fails for three times, it means that it can continue causing issues in your Microsoft Excel product, this way, if you have an add-on that does not allow you to open Microsoft Excel. If it does not becomes disabled you wont be able to start the application.
