Have you ever wondered if there are any external third party tools you can use to get your SAP data into your SQL database (2005, 2008, 2008 R2) to be used in BPC or any other of your EPM applications? There are many alternatives available to you.
- Firstly, there is our friendly Visual Studio that you can use to get the SAP data in. Just follow the steps given at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc185254.aspx.
- Secondly, you can use Xtract IS tools. They allow you to get data from any SAP table, infocube, SAP query, BAPI, hierarchy or a report. You can get more information at http://www.theobald-software.com/cms/en/xtract-is/xtract-is-bw-cube.html
- Thirdly, if you want to integrate SQL Reporting Services with Netweaver BW (formerly BI), then there is some help available at http://searchsqlserver.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid87_gci1190775,00.html#
Finally, some BW connectors will be delivered in the SQL feature pack. For more information, go to Using SQL Server 2008 Integration Services with SAP BI 7.0.
