Purpose

Sometimes customers generate call list and think that the system ignores the parameter settings for the calling hour i.e. start and finish hours are set according to the calling hours maintained for the business partners despite the parameter is set to not consider the calling hours. This WIKI page is intended to explain the system behaviour of some parameters.

Overview

When generating the call lists using transaction code CRMD_CALL_LIST, customer can configure to generate the call list without considering the calling hours maintained for the business partner. Customer can also configure to generate the call considering the calling hours and whether to generate the call or not if no business hours are maintained for the business partner. This document describes the parameter settings that decide whether to consider the calling hours during call list generation in transaction code CRMD_CALL_LIST.

Call List Generation Considering the Calling Hours

If you want to generate a call list considering the calling hours maintained for the business partner, you will select “A Calling Hours” for the Business Hours dropdown list in transaction code CRMD_CALL_LIST.

If you set the flag “Create one activity for each call time”, a call is generated in the call list for each call time maintained for the business partner. If you do not set the flag, only one transaction is generated for the business partner, regardless of how many calling hours are maintained.

If you want the system to generate a call for the business partner if no calling hours are maintained for the business partner, you can set the flag "Create Activity also without Call Time". If you do not set this flag, system will not generate a call for the business partner if no calling hours are maintained for the business partner.

Call List Generation Not Considering the Calling hours

If you want to generate a call list without considering the calling hours maintained for the business partner, you will select space for the Business Hours dropdown list in transaction code CRMD_CALL_LIST.
