The purpose of this quick reference document is to help to resolve the problems  that might appear during management of Commissions.

accrued on a customer invoice

Does a Commission agent show 
up as header partner on the Order?

Check all the relevant billing documents

Consult your business financial manager 
and Account * Receivables before canceling any documents

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cancel all the billing documents.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maintain price records(VK11) for a
combination of customer,vendor,partner function and product hierarchy/material

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Manually add the agent as a partner
to the Order.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Add the agent as a partner to the
customers master data in VD02.

 

 

 

Re-Price the order("update").ZAG
condition should come in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Re-create the billing document. Ensure billing date is of a posting period which is open. Else, change billing date to the date on which invoice is created or current date.

 

 

 

In cases where cancel and re-bill
cannot be done

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Create a credit note for the amount
in question with the same data as on the original invoice.

 

 

 

Maintain price records and customer
master data.

 

 

 

Create a debit note with agent and commission on.

 

 

 

Do not send these documents
to customer

 

 

 

 

 

 

Check validity dates

Condition record must be valid
on the day of creation of the Sales Order

 

 

Check product hierarchy

if you maintain price conditions on
product hierarchy level,make sure product hierarchy on ZAG condition and on order are the same.

Commission accruals at
wrong rates

Check for rates maintained for condition type using transaction V/LD or VK12/13

To nullify incorrect condition record:
Use transaction VK12 to access the 

 

 

 

record;

 

 

 

Change condition rate to Zero

 

 

 

set condition 'valid to' date the same as

 

 

 

valid on' date

 

 

 

Save the record

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To delete incorrect conditon record

 

 

 

Use transactin VK12 to access the

 

 

 

record:

 

 

 

Select the record

 

 

 

Mark the record for deletion

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maintain a valid condition record using
transaction VK11.Ensure that 'Valid on ' and Valid to dates cover all effected orders before saving the record

 

 

 

Check the relevant billing documents
which have been created since the commission 'valid from'date

 

 

 

Consult your business financial
manager and Account & Receivables before canceling any documents.

 

 

 

Cancel all the billing documents.
Re-price the Sales Order after maintaining a valid condition record for condition type.

Check and ensure status of billing

Did you receive an error
mentioning the word "TAX"?

No tax code maintained for agent.
A tax code needs to be there,even if tax rate is zero.
