The SAP composite application Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) enables adaptive manufacturing processes by synchronizing manufacturing operations with back end business systems. This unified view of manufacturing data is provided in two ways:
- Manufacturing Intelligence: a real-time analytics engine that aggregates and delivers a visualization of events, alerts, KPIs, and decision support through role-based dashboards.
- Manufacturing Integration: a single, standards-compliant application that integrates SAP ERP connectivity with real-time plant floor applications whether in a single plant, or across multiple plants, business units and regions.
Event-triggered alerts in SAP MII speed reactions, problem identification, and problem resolution. It provides workflow-based responses, which can be configured for certain alerts. And it scales to support multiple plants with a normalized view of performance across disparate systems.
