XML Content and Action tool

This tool enables the import and export of portal content based on XML scripts enabling automatic PCD-object creation. (Similar functionality is offered in SAP NetWeaver 2004 SP15 and later.)

XML Model Interchange (XMI Interface)

The XMI interface provides application developers with a common language for specifying, visualizing, constructing, and documenting models. This allows you to communicate with other model-based tools, which conform to the XMI standard for model interchange.

Xgraph

Xgraph is an open file format used to describe a graph object. The original format was designed by Captovis Advanced Industries as a proprietary format for storing information about a graph object created by its graphing engine for use in proprietary software applications. The format has since been released to the public and is royalty free.

XML Schema

XML Schema is a document that describes, in a formal way, the syntax elements and parameters of a Web language.

X table

Attribute SID table for time-independent master data.

This table contains the following fields:

  • The characteristic SID (master data ID)
  • OBJEVERS (object version)
  • These two fields form the key.
  • The value of the super-ordinate characteristic
*The value of the master data-bearing characteristic itself
  • CHANGED
  • SIDs for time-independent attributes
  • OBJEVERS and CHANGED also appear in the P table.

XML

See Extensible Markup Language.

XML Forms Builder

Tool for defining forms used in form-based publishing. Defining a form involves specifying a data scheme (XML template) and creating the form layout with direct manipulation techniques. Based on this input, the tool generates XSL transformations that are applied to the XML template to render an HTML form.

XML metadata interchange

XML-based standard format for exchanging metadata between UML-based modeling tools and MOF-based metadata repositories in distributed, heterogeneous development environments. The exchange takes place in the form of data streams or files. XMI, together with UML and MOF, forms the core of the metadata repository architecture of OMG (object management group).
