How can I assign an equipment/functional location list to a specific user?

Valid For: xMAM 2.0; xMAM 2.5

When using the backend plug-in 2004.1, a new feature can be used to assign extra equipments or functional location to a user. This is done by creating individual variants that are then assigned to a specific user. Once replication is triggered from the middleware, the equipment and functional locations related to a user are then made available for the next user synchronization.

The variants are created with transaction IH06 for functional locations and IH08 for equipments. Then you will need to access the xMAM customizing located in the IMG. Access to the Mobile Asset Management customizing can occur via the Component Plant Maintenance and Customer Service listed under the Maintenance and Service processing.

Transaction: SPRO - Reference IMG

Then execute Configure User-Dependant Data and under the Table "Additional master data", to set the appropriate variants.

Make sure that you replicate the changes to the middleware either via batch job replication or run from the SAP WEB AS, transaction MEREP_EX_REPLIC using parameter - MAM25_090 or MAM_090 in case of MAM 2.0

How can I filter equipment, functional location, business partners, or measurement points downloaded per user? I need to have additional objects downloaded that are not linked to orders/notifications and I don't want all users to get all objects.

Valid For: xMAM 2.0

You can implement the BADI for ALM_MEREP_090_GETDETAIL. The import parameter of this function module is the user ID. You can add logic to fill the PARTNER_LINKS, FUNCLOC_LINKS, EQUIPMENT_LINKS and MEASUREMENT_LINKS tables with the object ID for the respective objects. After this data has been replicated the middleware will automatically download the additional objects specified per user.
