Purpose

This section describes SAPMEINT Diagnostic Tool.

For ease of use in viewing an SAP Note, right click on the Note link and select Open in new window or Open in new tab.

Overview

About SAPMEINT Diagnostic Tool

This tool is used to verify and edit configurations of SAP ME and SAP MII systems. It is part of SAP ME 6.0.4 and above.

Accessing the Diagnostic Tool

To access this tool, choose 'Configuration Diagnostic Tool' from the 'Monitoring' menu in SAP MII.

Functions of the tool

     Select the image to expand it.


You can view and edit the SAPMEINT configurations at the system and plant level.

There are the following instruments available:

  • Verify Plant Configuration - Verifies all the configuration categories for a specific plant in an asynchronous mode and if any changes are found, updates the status.
  • Refresh - On the left pane, refreshes the List of Plants and updates the status. On the right pane, refreshes the Configuration Category for System or Plant Level and updates the status.
  • Status - Displays the status of the configurations as follows:
    • Green: Verification completed; no errors found
    • Red: Verification completed; some errors found; check the log
    • Yellow: Verification completed; there are some warnings; check the log
    • Gray: Verification failed; check the log
  • Edit - Opens the corresponding application screen, where you can edit the configuration category. For some configuration categories, there is a multi-navigation option for the Edit button which opens the appropriate screen.
  • Verify Configurations - Verifies a specific configuration category for a specific plant. You can select one or more configuration categories verify them by choosing Verify Configurations. If one or more configuration categories are selected, the verification takes place asynchronously in the background. The status of the configuration and the error log will be updated automatically after the verification completes.
  • Show Log - Opens a Log screen, with the Message Type, Message Text, and Verification Date details. You can select one or more configuration categories and see their log details by choosing Show Log.

System level configuration

Select the image to expand it.

 

The following configuration categories can be edited and verified at the system level:

  • Data Access and User Assignment for Role Role_SAPMEINT
  • Database Configuration
  • Global Configuration
  • Java System Properties
  • Message Scheduler
  • Workflow Configuration

Plant level configuration

     Select the image to expand it.


The following configuration categories can be edited and verified at the plant level:

  • ERP Server Details: JCo Interface
  • ERP Server Details: Message Listener Interface
  • Custom Fields
  • Outbound Collaboration
  • SAP ME Server Details
  • SOA Configuration
  • System Rules
  • Message Processing Rules
