1.Overview

This section describes how to transfer a ProductVersion from an external PLM system to the SAP system. As a result, a Bill of Materials is created or updated.
The Integration allows to do the following use cases:

Direction: External PLM System --> SAP
  • Create a new BOM in SAP
  • Update a BOM in SAP

  • Extending a header or component Material Master to an SAP plant in the context of a BOM transfer

  • Read BOM information out of the SAP system (data federation)

MANDATORY

Types are defined within the PLMSI configuration. They must be aligned with the sending/receiving system.

The type controls if a classic BOM or version BOM is created. For more info on which BOM Usage is used and some other settings, please refer to the official documentation.

  • factoryKey

Specifies if this is a plant-specific BoM (only one factory key allowed).
