Controlling Types

There are 2 Controlling types for accounting integration available:

  • Single object controlling for Internal Orders
  • Multi-level Controlling (PS-projects)

To be able to use the functions of accounting integration, you have to implement the Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA) application component and Project System (PS). Then the cost collector is a WBS-Element (Project System) or an Internal Order.

Controlling Scenarios

The following Controlling scenarios are available:

  • Assignment objects: wbs-element or internal order
  • Assignment types: manual or automatic
  • Assignment rules: role-based or task-based

These are in detail:

  • Internal Order (Project Definition, Automatic): An internal order is created at project definition level. All elements of a project in cProjects are assigned to this internal order.
  • Internal Order (Structure Element, Manual): A user manually assigns the elements of a cProjects project to the internal order in cProjects. (I)
  • Internal Order (Project Role, Manual): A user assigns the project roles of a cProjects project to the internal order in cProjects. (J)

  • Multilevel Controlling (Structure Element, Manual): A user has to create the PS project in the ERP system. The user then assigns the elements of a cProjects project to the WBS elements of this PS project manually in cProjects. (A)
  • Multilevel Controlling (Project Role, Manual): A user has to create the PS project in the ERP system. The user then has to assign the project roles of a cProjects project to the WBS elements of this PS project manually in cProjects. (B)
  • Multilevel Controlling (Structure Element, Automatic): The system automatically creates a PS project definition for the project definition and creates a WBS billing element at the first level of the hierarchy. More WBS elements that map the structure of  the cProjects project are created for the elements of the cProjects project. The lowest level of the PS project is specified by the controlling level. All elements of the cProjects project that are below the lowest level are assigned to the WBS element of the lowest level. (C)
  • Multilevel Controlling (Project Role, Automatic): The system automatically creates a PS project definition for the project definition and a WBS billing element at the first level of the hierarchy. More WBS elements are created for the project roles of the cProjects projects. (D)

Replication Types

There are 3 replication types (customizing of the project type) available:

  • Always automatically when Saving
  • Automatically when status "Flag for Transfer" is set and project is saved
  • Automatically when status "Released" is set and project is saved.

Used PS-Projectprofile / Ordertype

To be able to use automatic account assignment the order type for single-object controlling and the project profile for single-object controlling for PS projects must be maintained for Business Scenario CPROJECTS in transaction IAOM0. (in ECC-system)

The system is using the PS projectprofile or order type which is maintained in this transaction IAOM0. In general the order type is CPR1 and project profile is CPR0001. It´s possible to use BAdI IAOM_BUSINESS_SCENAR with method CHANGE_PROJECT_PROFILE to change the PS projectprofile. Information can you find in KBA Note 2078410.

BAdIs

The following BAdIs are available in PPM-PRO system:

  • DPR_FIN_GECCO_ATTR (Additional attributes for Replication using Single-Object Controlling)
  • DPR_FIN_GECCO_CALC (Change costing data for Single-Object Controlling)
  • DPR_FIN_GECCO_MANUAL (Enhancement for manual Multilevel Controlling)

The following BAdIs are available in ECC-system:

  • DPR_FINR3_CO_CALC (Change costing data)
  • IAOM_ATTRIBUTES (Characteristics of CO Acct Assignment to Be Created/Changed)
  • IAOM_BUSINESS_SCENAR (Controlling Parameters)
  • IAOM_DET_CO_SCENARIO (Determine Controlling Scenario)
  • GCC_PS_PROJECT_LABEL (Description of Project Definition and PSP Element)

  1. Hi, I did all the configurations as mentioned in the blog, but still I am not getting Internal Order automatically created once the Project (in PPM) is created and released. Is there any other specific step missing or to be re-looked..??
