The transaction CL26 enables users to find all assignements of a class or multiple classes in the classification of objects of the same class type that are not yet released.
Entering the class type is required, however adding a class name is optional.
The "Display invalid entries" indicator is relevant if assignments have been processed with engineering change management (change number) .
In case a change number is entered in CL26, all modifications to any object from the result list will be saved with the change number.
It is also possible to start CL26 in batch mode, the collected messages will be collected in a log which can be displayed with the transaction SLG1.
When the search is carried out in the transaction CL26, the result list will show all objects that have an inactive classification status.
The transaction CL26 provides a great overview of all the objects, the classes assigned to them and their classification status in the entire system.
When clicking on the Object name, the Object to Class View will be opened to show the classes that are not released yet.
To adjust the classification of the objects, the edit button in the menu must be clicked.
The status of the classes may be set to 1 (active) from the result list aswell by selecting the object to be modified and clicking
the execute button.
When the mass release was executed, the status of the classification will be updated in the result list.
Once the status of the classification has been set to 1 (active) and the transaction CL26 was closed by the user, when opening the transaction CL26
again and running the search for the class type, the object that has been recently activated will not show up anymore in the result list due to the fact that
the transaction only lists the objects that have an inactive status.
