Overview

Engineering Change Collaboration is a process available with Collaboration Folders (cFolders) that enables collaboration on engineering changes with external partners, e.g. contract manufacturers or external design partners. Historically, engineering change management only encompassed inhouse processing, from the initial engineering change request (ECR) to the implementation of the engineering change order (ECO). This process allows for the inclusion of external partners in different stages of the process, for example in the request, approval, or implementation phase. It integrates to SAP ECM in SAP ERP via dedicated cFolders APIs and SAP ERP ECM BAPIs or enterprise services.
