Purpose

This WIKI page is intended to provide information on program RCUMODEL or  transaction CUMODEL,
how it works.

Overview

Transaction CUMODEL

Program RCUMODEL

On the initial screen of this transaction,

you must enter the configurable material and plant. These two parameters are absolutely necessary to display the
configuration model.

In addition, you can enter BOM data on the initial screen. If no BOM usage is specified, all BOMs that exist in the system for
the material are displayed

.

Also, the user can display the model for a specific date. However, you are not required to enter a date. If no date is specified,
the model is displayed as valid on today's date.

Displaying the Model

The configuration model is displayed using a tree structure

.

First, only the configurable material is displayed

By expanding the node, you display the subordinate nodes for classes, BOMs, routings, and configuration profile

Only the header data of these components is shown. It is important to note that descriptions are shown in the logon language,
so if there is no description in this language, the field remains blank. When you expand the individual nodes, the individual
detail data is displayed at runtime.

Below the nodes for classes, the individual characteristics and characteristic values assigned to the class are displayed.

By expanding the BOM node, the items of the super BOM are displayed. Please note that this is the super BOM, not an order
BOM. This means that all possible BOM items are displayed.

The individual items are flagged with various icons.

For example, configurable materials in the BOM have the same icon as the configurable material at the root of the tree.

In the routing, the individual operations and sequences are displayed. As for the BOM, this is the super task list. In other words,
all operations and sequences are displayed.

The BOM and routing are not exploded according to assigned characteristic values or the configuration profile.

Configuration profiles cannot be expanded any further down the tree.

By double-clicking on individual icons in the tree, you display detail data for the component.

In this way, you can double-click on the dependency icon to display a list of all the dependencies that are assigned to a
component. By double-clicking on an line in this list,

you can display the source code for the selected dependency.

By double-clicking on the icon in a configuration profile, you can display the detail data of the configuration profile.
