The purpose of this table is to provide an easily consumable tabular listing of the SAP Mobile Application Platform evolution.

All the community members are invited to contribute directly keeping the table up-to-date keeping in mind that to make it useful only the main events should be tracked down.

In scope

Events should be listed by Newest first and the list should include only the most relevant information.

Good examples are:

  • availability of new releases (e.g. SUP 2.1 #ESD 3)
  • support for new platforms (e.g. Android)
  • support for new technologies (e.g. SSO) / protocols (e.g. OData) /standards (e.g. SSO)
Out-of-scope

To maintain the event list as short as possible, topics related to following topics should be considered out-of-scope:

  • Mobile Device Management (e.g. Afaria)
  • Mobile packaged Apps (e.g. SAP Retail Execution)
  • Mobile Web Apps that even if very interesting are normally based on completely different technologies and skills set
