Enabling Mentoring will allow your organization to create and administer mentoring programs, as well as taking advantage of future enhancements, including always-on mentoring programs that don't require invitations, Jam group integration, matching algorithm configuration, and more.
Pre-requisites
Before enabling Mentoring the following needs to be enabled in Upgrade Center or Provisioning > Company Settings:
- CDP Full (Development Plan)
- Generic Objects
- Attachment Manager
- Role-based Permission
Enabling Mentoring via Upgrade Center
- Go to Admin Center
- Look for Mentoring
Enable via Back end (Provisioning)
This tool is only accessible from Implementation Partners and Support
- Look for Career & Development Planning
- Underneath, check "Enable Mentoring Program"
Ensuring Mentoring Objects are Loaded to the Instance
Since Mentoring is using Metadata Framework, ensuring that Objects are properly loaded to the instance is a must, otherwise Permissions and Mentoring Admin functions will not load in the instance. Please refer to the screenshot below for complete list of Mentoring Objects in Configure Object Definition.

Access to Mentoring Admin
Admin permissions can be found under Administrator Permissions > Manage Career Development > Manage Mentoring Programs
Admins can now see the Manage Mentoring Program option from Admin Center > Development

User Mentoring Tab Permission
To enable user level permissions or the access to the Mentoring Tab, "Mentoring Program Access Permission" needs to be checked in Career Development Planning section in RBP.
Once access is granted to the user/role, Mentoring tab will appear for the granted user:
