KNOWN ISSUES:
1. Error during initiating a remote system connection
Symptom:
There is problem during creating a new database connection to a remote system.

1.3. There is problem with Windows Authentication
Symptom:
The Windows Authentication does not work during setup the remote system connection parameters.
Solution:

1923571 - Windows Authentication as monitor login in Managed Systems Configuration Wizard
In some cases the Windows Authentication is also not allowed. The related part from the SAP Note
1458291 - SolMan 7.1 Database Warehouse and Alerting for MSSQL is the following:
"... There are some known cases where you absolutely cannot use Windows Authentication for the monitor account. These are: i.If you plan to setup monitoring for multiple databases in one single SQL Server instance, you cannot use Windows authentication for the monitor login. ii.If you are setting up monitoring for the local Solution Manager SQL Server database system, you cannot use Windows authentication for the monitor login. iii.If the Solution Manager systems runs on Linux and you use the directions in SAP Note 1644499 to configure a connection, you must use a SQL Server account for the monitor login. ..."

2. Error during recreating a remote system connection
Symptom:
You would like to recreate an earlier existed remote system connection (e.g. after a system copy), but it is not possible, because of error or other reason.

2.1. Login name and schema cannot be changed
Symptom:
You are configuring the Database Performance Warehouse in the Managed System Configuration wizard of a Solution Manager 7.1. In the Enter System Parameters screen, the fields Monitor login name and Object source schema do not allow any changes to be made (the text fields display a blue background).

COMMON SOLUTIONS:
1. Check for bug in SAP_BASIS
Description:
There were several bug fixed in the related component SAP_BASIS regarding this topic. Check that you are on the latest SP of the SAP_BASIS in order to avoid any already known bug. If the SP update currently not possible, search for related SAP Note or KBA as it is mentioned in the section NOTE/KBA SEARCH. If you find a relevant SAP Note or KBA, check that your SP level of the SAP_BASIS component is equal or higher than the SP level of the bugfix.
Implication:
If issue found as a bug, apply the SAP Note or apply the SP of the SAP_BASIS, which contains the bugfix.
