Expert Wiki SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Introduction

Important hint: Please note that the information in this wiki is related to SAP Solution Manager 7.1. Since Janaury 1st, 2018, this product version is not in mainstream maintenance anymore (see implications here). The information here therefore is not maintained or updated anymore and is only kept for reference purposes.

Efficient planning, reporting and operation of your SAP solutions requires clear and reliable documentation for these solutions. The documentation of your system landscape and your business processes in SAP Solution Manager is the basis for the additional usage of the comprehensive Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) functions provided by SAP Solution Manager. The documented business processes are used in many ALM phases, for example in the Implementation phase by the Template Management, in the test environment by the test workbench and the Business Process Change Analyzer (BPCA), or in the monitoring environment by the business process monitoring. Therefore, up-to-date documentation of your core business processes is a basic prerequisite for realizing the full potential of the SAP Solution Manager.

  1. Hi Marc Oliver,

it seems that most documents for configuration are for internal use only because the links are pointing to intraweb.sap.com - this is too bad (sad)

    Regards,

    Mattias

  2. Hello Mattias,

we are still in progress of implementing the WIki. What you see here is nothing more than a template to be filled.

Once we have a first version, the Wiki will be moved away from the staging area to an own Wiki space.

    Please be a bit patient.

    Best regards,

    Matthias

    Hi,

Can we connect SAP Ariba System in to Solution Manager for Solution Documentation implemenation along with Managed system Configuration?

Could you please suggest on this ?

    1. Hi Hazira,

as you are looking for Solutions Manager to document integration among Ariba And SAP, check out the Ariba Network Integration with SAP Business Suite Rapid-Deployment Solution, and download it from the SAP Service Marketplace, here: service.sap.com/rds-ariba. Beyond solution manager, this package guides through the implementation and configuration of the SAP PO & Invoice automation with Ariba, and provides for respective illustrations and test cases.
