Object Description

Definition

With authorization object SM_WC_VIEW you can restrict the access to specific UI elements in work centers of the Solution Manager. You can restrict the access to views, viewtasks (view specific "common tasks"), to subviews and to entries in the "common tasks" area.

Defined fields

The authorization object checks the following fields:

  • WORKCENTER work center name (Web Dynpro Component)
This field specifies the work center for which you want to give access. Please note that you have to enter the name of the ABAP Web Dynpro Component, not the name of the PFCG role that is used for the work center. The value help shows the work centers that are available for this authorization object.
  • SM_UI_TYPE UI Element Type
This field is used for the UI element type. There are three UI element types available:
    • VIEW
for views in the navigation panel. If you choose this value, you have to enter the name of a view in field "SM_WC_VIEW" and optionally the name of a subview in field "SM_SUBVIEW". The value help shows you the views and subviews that are available.

    • COMMON_TASK
For common tasks of a work center. If you choose this value, you have to enter the name of a common task in field SM_WC_VIEW. The value help shows you the common tasks that are available.

    • VIEWTASK
View Tasks are view dependent common tasks. If you choose this value, you have to enter the name of a view task in field "SM_WC_VIEW". The value help shows you the view tasks that are available.
  • SM_WC_VIEW Work Center View
You have to enter the name of a view, viewtask or common task, dependent on the value in field "SM_UI_TYPE".
  • SM_SUBVIEW Work Center Subview
This field is only needed for subviews. If you choose the value "VIEW" for the field "SM_UI_TYPE" and enter a view name in field "SM_WC_VIEW", you have the possibility to enter a subview in this field. The value help shows you the subviews that are available.

Please note: if you want to enhance the value help for this authorization object, you have to maintain table "AGS_WORK_VIEW" using transaction SM30.
