Technical Infrastructure

The following technical overviews show you the SAP Solution Manager infrastructure that is required for the corresponding scenario. But keep in mind that the Wiki and even this page is just a complement to Security Guide which is the central Guide for SAP Solution Manager Authorizations. For more details about communication channels, ports or similar, please also refer to Security Guide.

You can also download the infrastructure information using the following link: Technical Infrastructure - Users and Communication Channels .

BI-Content for SAP Solution Manager

Please note that the basic
infrastructure is mandatory for all
SAP Solution Manager scenarios

LMDB Configuration is mandatory
for the most SAP Solution Manager
applications.

SAP standard recommendation is to
activate BI-Content on SAP Solution
Manager productive client. Please note
that RFC destination BI_CLNT<BW Client>
and user account SMD_BI_RFC not
required in this case.

    Finally some really technical documents, more detailed than the SAP Help and also the Security Guides. (All should be aligned!)

    However, they should all be consistent (some have Port numbers others not). Please also use different line colours for "incoming"; "outgoing", "bidirectional" data transfers. Also add the Message & Transport Protocols and if it is possible to implement encryption for the comunnication channel (e.g. SNC; https etc.). Then the full technical & security info would be available in a single (or series) of diagrams.

  3. Hi,

    we are customizing the workflow integration of the CRM interaction center for the service desk scenario and noticed problems with the standard setup of the WF-BATCH user.

    The user has the standard role SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_SERV_USER.

    I don't know where to put this topic and decided that the workflow might belong to technical infrastructure.

    Missing auth.objects:

    S_RFC      RC=4  RFC_TYPE=FUGR;RFC_NAME=SRFC;ACTVT=16;type=RF;name=RFC_PING;
    S_RFC      RC=4  RFC_TYPE=FUNC;RFC_NAME=RFC_PING;ACTVT=16;type=RF;name=RFC_PING;

    After adding FUGR SRFC you will get the next bunch of missing auth-objects in user WF-BATCH:
