Central Correction / Collective Notes for SAP Solution Manager
Starting with the SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 the concept of a central correction / collective notes has been implemented. The goal of the central correction / collective notes is to bundle all necessary corrections for the basic functions of the SAP Solution Manager in one central note to avoid searching for mandatory corrections in Service Marketplace. These notes are regularly updated such that you can use these notes to keep your SAP Solution Manager system up-to-date at any time.

Prerequisites
You must perform the following procedure before implementing a central correction note:
- Update the available SAP Notes.
- Update the Note Assistant.
- Perform an SPAU adjustment.
- Ensure that there are no inactive objects in your system.
For more detailed information, refer to the manual pre-implementation steps of the note.
Structure of a Central Correction Note
To minimize the time needed for reading the notes, each central correction note consists of three sections:
- Corrections with manual steps
(These notes you need to read and perform tasks manually.) - Additional information like SAP Notes for managed systems, FAQ notes, general notes
(Check if reading these notes is necessary for you. Some of the provided information might be relevant for your system landscape.) - SAP Notes that can be implemented automatically
(You do not need to read these notes, they can be implemented automatically.)
The SAP Notes of the manual section are divided into three groups:
- SAP Notes that you must implement manually using SNOTE
The reason for this may be, for example, that manual pre-implementation steps are required or that the SAP Note requires a large amount of memory space. - SAP Notes, which you must still carry out manual activities for, after you implement the central correction note
- SAP Notes, whose manual steps can be carried out automatically using postprocessing in the SAP Solution Manager configuration
(SOLMAN_SETUP → System Preparation → 3. Implement SAP Note → Post-Process)
