1. Overview
The main scope of this document is to explain the Technical Monitor setup for SAP BPA.
2. Prerequisites
Ensure you apply latest CR content to get BPA MAI templates
3. Setup
3.1 Managed System Configuration
- Start Transaction ‘Solman_Setup’ and select ‘managed system configuration’
- Select you managed system via BPA SID
Select ‘configure system’ and ‘Full Configuration Incl. Service Delivery/EWA…’
- Step 1 ‘assign product’ -> product versions and product instances need to be assigned manually. Make sure SAP BPA 9.0 BY REDWOOD is assigned as ‘installed’ and ‘diagnostic relevance’,
- Follow up Guided Procedure to finish rest of setup. Reference SAP Note 1852015 to add wily instrumentation.
3.2 Technical Monitor Configuration
- Start Transaction ‘Solman_Setup’ and select ‘managed system configuration’
- Select you managed system via BPA SID
- Select ‘configure system’ and ‘Full Configuration Incl. Service Delivery/EWA…’

3.2 Technical Monitor Configuration
- Start Transaction ‘Solman_Setup’ and select Technical Monitor
- Select Step 4 ‘Template Maintenance’ à template à Technical Instance, ensure SAP BPA 9.0 by Redwood is there. Create a custom template for your BPA technical system.
At step 5 ‘define scope’ select your BPA SID under ‘Technical System’
Step 6 ‘Setup Monitor’, assign BPA template
Once you finished these setup, Run Transaction code sm_workcenter àTechnical Monior à System Monitoring à select BPA SID, now you should be able to see BPA technical Monitor
