  1. Very hot topic!
One Question: using a SA Netweaver 7.02 with SAPKB70207. There are some classes, but no transactions like MBD, ... Is it possible to get a working SPI as add-on like UI5 or Gateway?

    Regards, Stefan Riedel-Seifert

  2. Hello Mr. Riedel-Seifert,

SPI is part of the software component SAP Business Suite Foundation (SAP_BS_FND) and is available from version 702 on. However the features that are described in this Wiki refer to the latest version that has been released and in older versions some of the mentioned features or transactions are not available but still the SPI is working.

    Best regards,
    Maximilian Schneider

  3. ... maybe, but i was not able to build up a working interface, so that it can be leveraged by gateway ...

  4. Hello Mr. Riedel-Seifert,

there is a very nice blog about the gateway adapter for SPI, the prerequisites and how it works.
For getting started with SPI you can check the tutorial on the SPI Wiki. I just added a few lines to describe the differences of the old and new version of the SPI and what needs to be done to implement them.
I hope that this is helpful.

    Best regards,
    Maximilian Schneider
