In order to understand the infrastructure of the Data Volume Management Extractors the following table provides an overview about the meaning and purpose of the extractors.
In general, All the extractors use the READ RFC. The exceptions being the DVM Analyses Scheduler (Saving Potential), this uses the TMW RFC as it has to schedule the extractors in the target system(s) and the Extractor for Top Objects which requires no RFC as it only reads the data from the 0SM_SIZES cube and places it in the 0SM_TOPTI cube.

Extractor for Top Objects (AGS_DVM_TOPOBJ_EXTRACT_NEW) Only found in the Solution Manager system. * Data growth is related to the growth rate in the SAP Solution Manager related infrastructure for DVM (without considering activated housekeeping)
Some extractors have become obsolete and have either been replaced by new extractors or the functionality they supported is no longer required or has been integrated with existing functionality. These extractors are usually deleted by executing the related activity (Adjust Extractor Settings) in the SOLMAN_SETUP steps for the DVM topic.
