You have moved your SAP system to a new host, SID or Instance number without using SAP SystemCopy tool.
Thus your InstanceID was not recalculated for the new values of the above parameters.

Your 7.0x java upgrade phase CONFIGURE_IIOP_SERVICE fails due to missing/wrong instance ID in the configuration manager.

How to check for the above error?

Locate your latest <java upgrade dir>\log\CONFIGURE_IIOP_SERVICE_COS_xx.LOG and look for the following error lines:

Scanning cluster for servers of the instance with id {0}.#1#IDxxxxxx#
BatchConfigException: Could not find configuration for instance with id IDxxxxxx!.
Could not read configuration for instance with id IDxxxxxx!
Could not add jvm parameter to server jvm properties.##

You need this phase to be executed in order to start the Adobe service and application after the upgrade has completed. Here is a workaround to manually execute the steps that the upgrade
does and skip the failing phase.

After performing those steps, you will still have wrong instanceID and further upgrades might still fail.
Best solution for such problems isto set the system up using SystemCopy.

Steps from 1 to 4 are the steps that the upgrade procedure failed to
make automatically because of the unique id mismatch.

Step 1 Open the configtool
Step 2 Change the global dispatcher and server configuration of the iiop
service so that its startup mode is set to always
Step 3 Add to the JVM parameters of the server the following parameter:
Step 4 Apply the changes

Now how to continue with the upgrade:
Step 5 Start the upgrade again
Step 6 Repeat the phase, when the phase fails select #Ignore error and go to
next phase#. When you are prompted for the password needed to skip this
phase, enter: 14620348
Step 7 Continue the upgrade
