Problem

 When trying to launch the Configuration Wizard in the NetWeaver Administrator for the component: 'BI-Java / Technical configuration of BI-Java (repeatable, reproducible)' then is not possible to start the configuration. (All buttons are unusable)

Execution fails with the message “Character not allowed: "$" in $BACKEND_SIDCLNT$BACKEND_CLIENT 

Solution

1. Take the session ID of the Configuration Template (You can go to History of Execution Tasks and take from there). Session ID is also maintained in the protocol.

2. Delete the rows of this session id from database table "BC_CTC_STATE"

3. Re-Execute the configuration.
