  SAP Notes Related to VMware and Specific Information



  • vSAN based SAP HANA HCI 4-socket CPU Cascade Lake systems support now SAP HANA Scale-Out deployment option (SAP Note 2718982)
  • vSphere 7.0 support for SAP NetWeaver Windows (SAP Note 1409608) and Linux (SAP Note 1122387) deployments.
  • vSphere 7.0 support for SAP HANA 1.0 SPS 12 Revision 122.19 (or later), SAP Note 2937606.
  • vSphere 6.7 and 7.0 support for SAP SAP HANA 2 SPS 4 (or later) with Persistent Memory (Intel Optane PMem), SAP Note 2913410.
  • New VMware blogs for vSphere 7 and Persistent Memory SAP HANA support are available.

Supported SAP Applications

With the General Support Statement for Virtual Environments, SAP supports all applications and components - except BWA and SAP ITS 6.20 - on a proven stack of VMware vSphere, operating system and database. Check SAP Note 1492000 for prerequisites and conditions of support.

Supported Guest Operating Systems by SAP

The table below provides a short overview on supported guest operating systems. For prerequisites and configuration details for support, check SAP Note 1409608 on Windows and SAP Note 2369910 on Linux.
