This is a great opportunity to experience a Code Retreat in ABAP and to expand your ABAP-Skills. Spend the day with ABAP-colleagues, connect with your peers, learn from each other, share experiences and be inspired by the great community.

Just bring your own laptop. We provide you an ABAP Stack and access to the System for the event-day.

In addition, we offer lunch, snacks and soft drinks for free!

See you soon!

What is a Code Retreat?

A CodeRetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. This FREE Community-Driven event format gives you the opportunity to practice TDD, Clean Code and Refactoring for a whole day. This isn’t a conference! Rules are totally different, attendees take actively part in the coding experience: act a lot, listen very little.

You can find more information about the code retreat format movement on the Code Retreat website and more about the ABAP Code Retreat format on the ABAP Code Retreat SCN wiki site.

There are also some blog posts from other ABAP Code Retreats e.g. the recap of the first ABAP Code Retreat in Weinsberg. This might also give you an idea what will happen at the event.

Saturday April 1st 2017, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm (no joke (wink))

BridgingIT Gmbh
Marienstraße 17
70173 Stuttgart

Our office is in the same building as the mall "Das Gerber"

Google Maps

Parking lots are available in the building, but not for free. The mainstation is only one S-Bahn station away or you take walk all the way up the Königstraße from the mainstation which is a 20 min walk.

Because of the great sponsors, the ABAP Code Retreat is for FREE (as any other ACR) including coffee, softtrinks and food!

We use the sitREG app for registration (SCN User a.k.a. S or P-User needed):

So far there is no pre- or after event planed. But if there there are enough participants interested, we will organize one. If you are interested, just mark the corresponding fields.

We ware using the sitREG open source app developed by SAP Mentor Gregor Wolf. You can find it on GitHub. You can also report bugs there if you find any and you can volunteer as a contributer to the project.

We're happy to attract an international audience, that is why we chose English as the event language. If there will be only Swabian participants, we might change the language to Swabian which might get a bit challenging for the coaches (wink)

This ABAP Code Retreat will be hosted by bridgingIT in Stuttgart.
