Title | Description | Topics | Host(s) |
---|---|---|---|
HANA XS + OData + SAPUI5 = Developer Nirvana? | HANA isn't just about columnar storage, in-memory technology, and lightning fast speed. Oh no. With Extended Application Services, aka "XS", HANA gives you the developer a powerful one stop shop platform for building your app backend. Platform-as-a-Service? Check! Building with JavaScript on the server side as well as the client side? Check! Using OData as the synthetic oil to smoothly enable your data consumption? Check! This session examines the combinatorial power of SAP HANA XS, OData, and SAPUI5. You don't just add them together, you raise each to the next one's power! | HANA, SAPUI5, Gateway, OData | DJ Adams |
How to make your Customer/SI engagement less disfunctional | This will be a two person presentation, an end-user and a consultant from an SI. Talking about our experiences of what has made good engagements great and bad engagements painful. No pulled punches, just a lot of honesty and hopefully pointers on how to help yourselves, your company's and your projects | Projects | Chris Kernaghan, Steve Rumsby |
Rapid application develoment with SAP HANA Cloud | Most of the times you as a developer simply want to see an up-and-running piece of code to re-use it for your own purpose. Ideally you would like to have a ready made application that you can re-use, but of course this is just a dream you have. This session will show you how to make this dream come true and get up-to-speed with some of the SAP HANA Cloud services much faster than before. | SAP HANA Cloud | Rui Nogueira |

A different approach to SAP Mobility using the Neptune Application Designer | I will introduce the SAP integrated Add-On and report some experiences from developing mobile add-ons for solutions of my former company and our customers. I also would like to show how to build a mobile application from scratch and present the integration of sapui5 into the Neptune Application Designer: No oData, no Javascript required, just drag & drop. | SAP Mobile | Ralf-Juergen |
Personas in practice | A technical intro to SAP Screen Personas, a real-life use case, and a discussion of Personas applications and issues. | SAP Screen Personas | Steve Rumsby |
HANA - New Development Features in SPS6 | A remote session from Thomas Jung on new development features in HANA SPS6. | HANA, Development | Thomas Jung |
SAP Enhancements Packs - Lessons Learnt | A session about how to about upgrading a SAP ECC system to the latest enhancement pack version. Recently upgraded an entire Landscape from EHP3 - EHP6 using the latest tools from SAP - USING SUM. Methodology used etc and some potential pitfalls ! We have also upgraded a core FICO/HCM system recently to EHP5 and enabled WDA for HCM processes. | SAP Enhancement Packs | James Ibbotson |
Design Thinking, Consumer IT and Mobile - wait, what just happened? | A look into how consumer IT has completely changed the face of enterprise mobility and why we must not be afraid to tackle this challenge head on! | Design Thinking, Mobile and Consumerisation of IT. | Brenton O'Callaghan & James Hale |
SAP BPM & Mobile... Can we? Should we? Have we? | A roundtable session discussing the relationship between BPM and mobility, looking at opportunities, challenges and hopefully gaining insight into success stories from other attendees. Definitely more of a knowledge sharing session and discussion, rather than me boring you all with death by powerpoint :) I see numerous challenges for integrating current BPM and mobile solutions but the future looks brighter. | SAP BPM, Mobility | Gareth Ryan |
Mobility at a high tech manufacturer | Say you want to mobilize service management functionality to field service engineers - how hard can that be? | Enterprise Mobility | Twan van den Broek |
ABAP in Eclipse | Benefit from the Usability, Speed and Flexibility of the Eclipse Platform | ABAP in Eclipse | Gregor Wolf |
