Introduction
Like in 2013 and 2014 also this year an SAP Inside Track will take place here in Munich.
The main conference will be on Saturday, 10th of October 2015 - we also plan a SAP CodeJam on Friday, 9 th of October 2015 as well.
This is a great opportunity to spend the weekend in this great city, and like at other SAP Inside Track events, you can connect with your peers, learn from each each other, share experiences and be inspired by great talks.
By the way, we change the classic lecture oriented format a bit this year – be surprised.
The conference language will be Bavarian – just kidding . We hope to attract also an international audience and choose English.
If you're interested in last year's SAP Inside Track in Munich you can find it here: SAP Inside Track Munich 2013 - a summary and SAP Inside Track Munich 2014 - a summary

Schedule
Sessions
The sessions are what an SAP Inside Track event is all about. Come and take the stage or our new marketplace and share your experiences, knowledge and passion. Talk about something that interests you, something you have done recently, your SAP TechEd experiences and ignite a two-way discussion that benefits all participants.
Please enter your session proposals below, and nearer the time, we will organise them into appropriate time slots.
This year we’ll have a classic lecture part (like the last two years). So if you want to do a lecture for about 30 minutes then the table below is best for you:

Solving real problems without reading code | Developers are data scientists. Or at least, they should be. Some 50% of the development time is typically spent on figuring out the system in order to figure out what to do next. In other words, software engineering is primarily a decision making business. Add to that the fact that often systems contain millions of lines of code and even more data, and you get an environment in which decisions have to be made quickly about lots of ever moving data. Yet, too often, developers drill into the see of data manually with only rudimentary tool support. Yes, rudimentary. The syntax highlighting and basic code navigation are nice, but they only count when looking into fine details. This approach does not scale for understanding larger pieces and it should not perpetuate. This might sound as if it is not for everyone, but consider this: when a developer sets out to figure out something in a database with million rows, she will write a query first; yet, when the same developer sets out to figure out something in a system with a million lines of code, she will start reading. Why are these similar problems approached so differently: one time tool-based and one time through manual inspection? The root problem does not come from the basic skills. They exist already. The main problem is the perception of what software engineering is, and of what engineering tools should be made of. In this talk, we show live examples of how software engineering decisions can be made quickly and accurately by building custom analysis tools that enable browsing, visualizing or measuring code and data. Once this door is open you will notice how software development changes. Dramatically.
| Problem Solving, Assessment | One question still remains: How much of an investment is it necessary to get to the point in which building these tools is cost effective? To address this, all shown examples make use of the Moose analysis platform (http://moosetechnology.org) - a uniform and compact platform. This shows that assessment involves a small set of analysis skills that can be utilized in many different situations. | X | |

XSS - An application security vulnerability | One of the most typical web application security vulnerabilities Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) which could be nightmare for Developers and simply paradise for Attackers. How they are important? What should we keep in mind? How could we prevent this to some extend as Developer? How Attackers proceed? Many mores.. Business Intelligence Clients | Lecture on the analytical clients in SAP business intelligence area. * What's new in Design Studio (Preview 1.6 release) The slot should be 45 mins in minimum, but can be cut as well to a preview (and details via break-discussions) | SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP BI | Karol Kalisz | X

Just Weighing a Pig Doesn't Fatten it. - From Quality Analysis to Enduring Quality Improvement of ABAP Code | There are many static analysis tools for ABAP code. These are used in some cases, but for most developers their usage appears quite cumbersome, e.g. due to many false positives among the results. So, these tools are hardly applied or only with a minimal rule set - what does not result in an enduring improvement of the code quality. For other program languages clone detection, architecture conformance checks and other static analysis are widely used. What makes static analysis tools valuable for some teams but assumingly useless of the most others? The reasons are manifold, but - interestingly - the same in most teams. This talk presents lessons learned and best practices from many years of practical experience. We state tangible recommendations and show specific examples with the tool Teamscale. | ABAP, Quality, Quality Improvement, Architecture, Analysis Tools | and

Business Processes in the Digital Economy using S/4HANA | Since its introduction in early 2014, SAP Simple Finance has caused much excitement across a variety of industries. However, many decision makers and SAP users still aren't sure about how the new SAP Business Suite 4 on HANA (S/4HANA) will look like and especially what the related business benefits and changes would be. In this talk, I would like to give you a short overview on S/4HANA from a business perspective, discussing new functions, business benefits and future directions. | S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite 4, SAP Simple Finance | Vassilena Banova | X

Marketplace Sessions (maximum 20 minutes)
If you want to do a developer talk, showing a small prototype or application or cover some niche topics (at least 10 min. of talk/demo, max. 20 min.) then our new marketplace might fit to you. We provide small booths and the audience can just drop by listen, discuss and go to the next one. It allows more interaction and talks about topics which do not fit to a lecture for bigger audience. For instance, talking about software design and architecture, rules frameworks, test automation, IoT, software quality, Java Script…. Whatever you want and even non-techie topics, if you want to do some gym – please feel free to contribute
The marketplace has its own slot (~100 minutes) after lunch and will not run in parallel to the lectures. The 20 minute sessions will be repeated by the hosts so that the attendees can rotate around and catch up on every topic.

Test Gap Analysis: Risk-based Testing of ABAP Applications | Of course we would like to have robust automated tests that entirely cover our application. But what if this is not the case, and we must manually carry out tests (at least for a certain time)? For long-lived software, failures usually occur in areas with high amounts of change. It is therefore a good idea to especially test these modified areas. Still, our research shows that large amounts of modified code get into production untested, causing most of the field errors. In the talk, we present Test Gap analysis, an approach combining static and dynamic analysis methods to identify changed but untested code. Test Gap analysis brings transparency into quality assurance and helps to allocate testing efforts and to synchronize cooperation between developers and testers. We report on our experience from several years of application in industry---both in ABAP and SAP BW---and show concrete examples in the tool. | and | let you surprise! | 20 min | X | Slides |
Domain specific languages | I will show you a workbench I wrote in ABAP to define a domain specific language (dsl) and use it to model and execute artefacts from a specific domain. This could be e.g. test cases, AS/400 lists, object models, package hierarchies, complex configuration of business objects or a query language. Here are the slides of my talk. | Peter Langner | I need a beamer or screen to show the tool from my laptop. | 30 min | X |

Would you like to have a CodeJam on the topic of Lumira?
Christian Braukmüller
Hi Witalij, that would be soooo cool!
Your session suggestion alone was a reason for me to register for SITMUC.
A codeJam with Lumira would be great. ... having a slot for a marketplace session could round it up.

Hello, I would like to have a Fiori App CodeJam if possible.
But Lumira would also be interesting.
Kind regards, Matthias

There is Registration form only for Waiting list. Where can we find the Main Registration form ?
Really did not understand how to Register for the event . Can anyone please help ?
Martin Steinberg
Hi Rekha,
thank you for your interest in attending #sitMUC. We reached the limit of 80 attendees shortly after anouncing this event. That is the reason why we provide the waiting list - you can add yourself to this waiting list and we will inform you if you can attend (e.g. some people cancel their attendance).
If there is no possibility to provide a seat to you we would be glad to see you next year here in Munich.
Thank you & best regards
Martin
