Run Better Anywhere with Mobile Analytics
In today’s highly mobilized workforce, the need for timely business intelligence does not end when your people leave the office. Your managers need to make time-critical decisions on the road and require real-time visibility into project schedules, available resources, key performance indicators (KPIs), and more. Your sales reps need to answer customers’ critical questions in order to close a deal or stay competitive, answers that should not have to wait until they return to the office. Your service personnel need up-to-date maintenance information to resolve problems without having to make additional on-site visits or contact staffing resources.

With SAP Mobile BI you can get analysis and critical alerts on the go, make more informed decisions faster and take action on decisions from anywhere.

In this session you will learn:

  • What’s new for Mobile Analytics at SAP
  • SAPs direction for Mobile BI and future technology plans
  • How to get started with Mobile BI today

Megan Mittler (SAP)

Innovations in Learning for SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0
User adoption is a relevant topic in any organization implementing cutting edge technologies. SAP has invested in this topic by examining how to reduce the barriers to user adoption as it relates to learning our BI products. This goes beyond an education strategy - this is a product strategy. As such, in this session we'll discuss the barriers to learning as well as the learning solutions that now come alongside our Business Analytics products. We'll talk about how you can get involved in a learning community with access to hundreds of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 tutorials that will get you and your users engaged within minutes.

SAP and You – Let’s get Closer
Come find out about all the different ways to engage with SAP and keep up to date on what’s happening. Customer Interact is a an opportunity to meet face to face with the entire development organization.  Have roundtable open discussions in smaller groups to facilitate an interactive workshop and have deep dive sessions on topics and strategies most valuable to you. Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI) is offered 3 times per year which provides feedback directly to SAP product teams within joint feedback sessions on business case level or on the concrete functional development from the entire SAP product offering. SCN community is a social network for SAP professionals where you can learn, connect and share information through forums and blogs while building your reputation. Learn how to leverage SCN’s discussion forums to get expert advice for your questions. Idea Place is a step change in the way SAP solicits feedback from their customers. It is an open, crowd based, collaborative way to embrace ideas and feedback from customers, partners, and the greater ecosystem to help improve SAP’s products and solutions.

Gathering Insight into The City of Vancouver’s Open Data Catalogue with SAP Business Object’s Analysis tools
Since 2009, various levels of government both, nationally and internationally have been sharing their data collections via open data initiatives. In this session you’ll learn about the City of Vancouver’s motivations, projects and data released through their open data initiative.

These data-sets also, provide an interesting opportunity to gather insight into various aspects of our city. Using SAP Business Objects Analysis, Edition for OLAP we’ll analyze traffic patterns on the Burrard Bridge and gain insight into how weather, the Olympics and other events impacted vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic.

David Lai (Xinfinity Solutions)

Leveraging the power of BI Web Services to help you build better dashboards
A common issue that arises during Dashboard architecture and development stems from "What type of data connections should I use?"
The 2 most common Business Objects data connectivity types are Query as a Web Service and Live Office. However each technique has it's strengths and weaknesses.
What if we could somehow marry both of them so that we could benefit from the strengths that both QaaWS and Live Office have to offer?
In this presentation you'll learn about (in my opinion, revolutionary) BI Services and how it provides a hybrid of QaaWS and Live Office.  As well as some new powerful features that were not available before. We'll also discuss some limitations and work arounds to prepare you for the road ahead.

Ty Miller (SAP)

(R)evolution in data.  (R)evolution in BI.  (R)evolution in consumption.
Some of the biggest megatrends we see in business today involve globalization, mobilization of consumers and the workforce, social media’s effects on consumers and the work place, and the virtualization of applications becoming available in the Cloud.  At the epicenter of these megatrends is information and, therefore, business analytics. SAP BusinessObjects BI, SAP BusinessObjects EIM and SAP HANA are the biggest release(s) in their respective categories in SAP’s history. I look forward to sharing with you many of the new capabilities that SAP enables and how it will help you transform your organization and ultimately help you run it smarter.
