In addition, SAP TechEd attendees connect with SAP Community Network members to gain the practical experience and skills needed to drive innovation. Below are some additional community-driven activities, you won’t want to miss at SAP TechEd this year.
* Women in Technology *
This year, for the first time, Women in Technology @SAP will host an interactive evening event at SAP TechEd around innovation and inclusiveness. Our goal is to generate ideas and concepts to address questions such as: "What are the challenges facing the creation of an inclusive and diverse talent pool in technology innovation projects?" The event will be kicked off by a moderated panel discussion with thought leaders in the realm of Women in Technology, followed by a workshop inspired by themes and topics identified during the panel discussion. Heike van Geel, SAP Design Consultant and Service Innovation Program Manager, will facilitate a workshop introducing Design Thinking. The entire evening will be captured by graphic interpreter Nancy Margulies and made available to participants on thumb drives.
SAP InnoJam is a 30-hour event where IT managers, business process experts, and software developers gain hands-on experience with new mobility technologies like the Sybase Unwired Platform. You and a team of your peers will take an idea from concept to prototype and build a working mobile application in real time.
During the summer, SAP customers, partners, and employees submitted proposals to demo their new, electrifying technologies or applications at Demo Jam. SAP TechEd is the place where the finalists will shine. Join SAP executives and thousands of cheering techies to watch the most impressive live demos hit the stage in Las Vegas. See them compete for the ultimate glory — to earn the audience’s vote of best demo of the night. Demo Jam will be a nonstop, power-packed session, presented immediately after the Networking Reception on Tuesday evening. Remember, this is a contest. Bring your enthusiasm to support your favorite demos.
