Welcome to the SDN Day Berlin 2008

This [Community:Community Day] is worth the TechEd event fee alone. Meet friends and make new friends to hang out with during the remainder of the week. - Ed Herrmann Colgate-Palmolive [Community:more reasons to come]

Please join SAP Mentors and Top Contributors in an action-filled day of mini hands-on sessions around cutting edge topics of SAP programming: ABAP, Java, and scripting languages. Discuss what really matters to an SAP developer with your peers in Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) sessions. Relax with your old and newfound friends as well as your buddies from the BPX program at our combined evening reception.

Feedback from last year's Community Day: This is worth the TechEd event fee alone. Meet friends and make new friends to hang out with during the remainder of the week. Ed Herrmann Colgate Palmolive [more]

What to do next

LIST IS CLOSED

Add your BoF* session suggestion here. Currently we can accommodate about 16 sessions throughout the day. If there are more we will do a selection process. Please put the session title in the table and link it to a child page of this Wiki page. Put a description of the session there - other people can add to this to refine the concept and kick-start the discussion. After the event, notes on the session can be added and further discussion can be done in the page comments so that the session becomes a permanent resource for the community.

Please add your name to the Participants list for the sessions you would like to participate in, as not all rooms will be the same, so we know where to put the sessions.

Propose adding a Mentor Hands On Track ( MHO ).  It should be separate so it doesn't blend into the other sessions, you can also marketed it that way.

How to Optimize SAP Flex Applications Using Adobe LC Data Services and Blaze Data Services

Accessing core (private) classes in SAP NetWeaver Portal for extending standard functionality
We will use some "dirty" but very useful trick in some situations where functionality, which is only provided in core classes and normally not accessible for third-party portal applications, can be reused. At least some fundamental portal development knowledge (and with this, Java dev knowledge of course, too) will be needed to understand and follow this "digging deep in foreign code" session...
