This page aims to clarify and be used as a reference for a better understanding of how an Automatic Clearing is done. This includes a brief explanation of how system determinates if clearing date or posting date is considered when running Automatic Clearing.

When performing its task, Automatic Clearing consider the posting date as a clearing date, however, there is an exception where it has a different behavior and then the following checking is done:
If an item to be cleared was posted later than the clearing date, the system uses the posting date of this item for clearing.

This system behavior is explained in note 41684.

Automatic Clearing

SAPF124 has indicator 'Date from most Recent Document'.

If this parameter is set then SAPF124 uses the latest posting date of items as clearing date when calling FB1S.

This date is used as posting date of clearing document and clearing date.
