Purpose

This page shows how the system behaves with the system rule "Allow multiple Time-Based Assembly" in ME 15.0.3.15 with test examples.

Overview

This document introduces the TBCT settings and tested how the system works when system rule "Allow multiple Time-Based Assembly" is set to True and False.

  1. TBCT setup
  2. Test Case 1 : system rule "Allow multiple Time-Based Assembly" is set to False
  3. Test Case 2 : system rule "Allow multiple Time-Based Assembly" is set to True

<TBCT setup>

  1. Resource Maintenance: create a resource which supports TBCT, set up activity hook SLOT_QTY_DECREMENT at hook point POST_START.


     
  2. Operation Maintenance:
     
  3. Routing Maintenance:
     

  4. Data field assignment Maintenance:
     
  5. Material Maintenance: create 2 component materials for TBCT.

     
  6. BOM Maintenance:
     
  7. Material Maintenance: create header material and set routing and BOM.
     
  8. Slot configuration maintenance
     
  9. Floor stock receipt: receive stock for the 2 component materials.
     
  10. Resource Slot Configuration Setup
    Propose slot configuration SC2/A

    Select the slot config and click button “Load or Replenish – All Slots”
    Load the inventory NGIR7 for component CMP-TBCT-01

    Load the inventory NGIR9 for component CMP-TBCT-02

    Click button “Activate Selected” to activate the setup.


  11. Shop order Maintenance: create a shop order
     

<Test Case 1>

  1. Set the system rule “Allow Multiple Time-Based Assembly” to FALSE.
     
  2. Release one SFC for the shop order

     
  3. Open POD. Start and complete the SFC NG32 at operation TBCT-OP1, resource TBCT-1.
     
  4. Check the as-built summary report. 2 TBCT components are assembled.

     
  5. Check the slot quantity in activity “Load or replenishement”. Slot quantity is reduced by 1.
     
  6. Remove the component CMP-TBCT-02 in as-built configuration.
     
     
  7. Check the as-built summary report for SFC NG32
     
  8. Replace the loaded inventory to other inventory ids in activity “Resource slot configuration setup”


    Make sure the status is setup
     
  9. Place the SFC NG32 in queue at operation by activity “SFC step status”


     
  10. Start and complete the SFC NG32 at operation TBCT-OP1 , resource TBCT-1.
     
  11. Check the slot quantity in activity “Load or replenishment”. 

    Result: Slot qty is not reduced.
  12. Check the as-built summary report. 

    Result: Component CMP-TBCT-02 is not re-assembled, but component CMP-TBCT-01 has 2 inventory records.

<Test Case 2>

  1. Set the system rule “Allow Multiple Time-Based Assembly” to True.
     
  2. Release one SFC NG33 for the shop order.
     
  3. Repeat steps 3-9 in Test case 1.
  4. Check the slot quantity in activity “Load or replenishment”.

    Result: Slot quantity is reduced.
  5. Check the as-built summary report. 

    Result: Component CMP-TBCT-01 and CMP-TBCT-02 are both reassembled.
