View cluster is a group of maintenance dialogs which are collected in maitenance unit for business or technical reasons.
The main porpuse is that view cluster allows end users to maintain the complex cross-table data and ensure consistency of the data.

SE54 is the transaction code for creating View Cluster.
SM34 is the transaction to maintain entries in View Cluster.

This tutorial contains the procedure of creation of view cluster using views.
First, we need to create maintenance views for tables SCARR, SPFLI and SFLIGHT.

Create maintenance View for SCARR
Start transaction SE11.

Select View radio button and enter view name in customer namespace. At last click on Create button.

In popup window, select the Maintenance View radio button and click on COPY button.

Enter the short description and table name for which you want to create view.

Select View Flds tab.

Click Table fields button.

Select the required fields from the table to add it in the View and click on the Copy button.

Go to Maint. Status Tab and select the appropriate radio button and activate the View.

It prompts the following

Enter a package name in customer name and then click on Save button, otherwise click on Local Object button.
  
Click Save button and activate.                                             
 
Navigate over menu -> Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator.
     
Specify authorization group and enter function group name.

Select Maintenance type  one step under frame Maintenance Screens.

Press on Find Scr. Number(s) button in toolbar menu.

It prompts the following
Click on green tick.
System automatically fills the Overview Screen Number and then click on the Create button.

It prompts the following

Click Save button.

To create the maintenance view of SPFLI, follow the same procedure as above.

Maintenance View for SPFLI

Start transaction SE11
Select View radio button and enter view name in customer namespace(e.g. ZVSPFLI) and than click on Create button.
In popup window, select the Maintenance View radio button and Click on COPY button.
Enter the short description and table name for which you want to create view.
Select View Flds tab and then click Table fields button.
Select the required fields from the table to add it in the View and click on the Copy button.
In the Tab View Flds, give 'S' in the column 'P' for the field CARRID as shown in the screen shot below

Go to Maint. Status Tab and select the appropriate radio button and activate the View.
Click Save button.
It prompts the following

Enter a package name in customer name and then click on Save button, otherwise click on Local Object button.
Click Save button and activate.

Start transaction SE11
Select View radio button and enter view name in customer namespace(e.g. ZVSFLIGHT) and than click on Create button.
In popup window, select the Maintenance View radio button and Click on COPY button.
Enter the short description and table name for which you want to create view.
Select View Flds tab and then click Table fields button.
Select the required fields from the table to add it in the View and click on the Copy button.

In the Tab View Flds, give 'S' in the column 'P' for the fields CARRID and  CONNID as shown in the screen shot below:

Go to Maint. Status Tab and select the appropriate radio button and activate the View.
Click Save button.
It prompts the following:

Enter a package name in customer name and then click on Save button, otherwise click on Local Object button.
Click Save button and activate.
Navigate over menu -> Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator.
Specify authorization group and enter function group name.
Select Maintenance type  one step under frame Maintenance Screens.
Press on button Find Scr. Number(s) in toolbar menu.
It prompts the following:

Click on green tick.
System automatically fills the Overview Screen Number and then click on the Create button.
Save the changes.


To create a view cluster, start transaction SE54.

Click Edit View Cluster button.

Enter view cluster name in customer namespace,  and then click Create/Change button.

It prompts the following:

Click green tick.
Enter short description and save.

It prompts the following:

Enter a package name in customer name and then click on Save button, otherwise click on Local Object button.
Double click  Object Structure in the left side.

It prompts the following:

Click green tick.
Click  New Entries  button in the toolbar menu.

A data table with six columns of data is shown below: View / Table, Short Text and Predecess., Dep, Pos, Start 
The DEP column of the view cluster explains the details of entry.
     R = Header entry
     S = Dependent entry
The POS column explains the sequence of the views.
The Start column explains the first view in hierarchy, which is in ZVSCARR in this case.
NOTE:
View ZVSCARR is a header entry, because it does not depend on any other view.
The value for ZVSPFLI  would be 'S' because it is dependent on the Predecessor view is called ZVSCARR.
The value for ZVSFLIGHT  would be 'S' because it is dependent on the Predecessor view is called ZVSPFLI.

Select entry  ZVSCARR and click on Field-dependence button.

A pop-up appears saying Field dependencies successfully generated.

Confirm Information popup with ENTER key or click green tick.

 For  ZVSPFLI  and ZVSFLIGHT, repeat the same procedure as above.




Go back to main screen and click activate button.

 
It prompts the following

Click Yes button.
Enter package name in the customer name space  and the click Save button or click Local Object button.

It prompts the following
