Authorization Synchronization from Item to Project Management Project (Example)

Example: Below you can find an example to synchronize Admin-authorization (direct assigned) from Portfolio Item to Admin-authorization of the Project Management Project.

The following settings which are available under https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=450463258 are already maintained.

1) Definition of the DFM Object Type

2) Maintain Objects for Synchronization

3) Define Execution Mode for Synchronization of Objects

8) Define Object Link Type Grouping

1) Call the customizing under: SPRO > SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Common Functions > Authorization Synchronization > Maintain DFM Activities:

Define general authorizations as "DFM Activity" under "Maintain DFM Activities". For example "Admin".

Under "Map Authorizations for Synchronization" maintain the specific mapping rules between source and target groupings for a single authorization.

2) SPRO > SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Common Functions > Authorization Synchronization > Map Portfolio and Project Management Activity to DFM Activity:

In this customizing activity you can define the mapping rules for the source and target grouping pair.

3) SPRO > SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Common Functions > Authorization Synchronization >  Map DFM Activity to Portfolio and Project Management:

In this customizing activity you define that the authorization "Admin" is set on the Project Management Project when authorization "Admin" is set on the Portfolio item. This is mapped over

DFM Activity "Admin".
