Content that is used on SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management Solution usually are created by 3rd parties on tools such as Articulate 360, Lectora, etc.There are times that 3rd party content does not work properly on the LMS. Some of the common issues seen are bookmarking is not working, completion is not being marked on the LMS, scoring issues, etc.

This guide will assist in how to troubleshoot what might be the root cause of the content issue.


In general, as the content is created by 3rd party vendors or yourself, troubleshooting of the issue needs to begin to identify if it's a content or LMS issue.

There can be many issues with content as not all 3rd party vendors nor tools work exactly the same. SAP SuccessFactors LMS accepts currently the following AICC and SCORM standards:

  • AICC
  • SCORM 1.2
  • SCORM 2004 2nd Edition
  • SCORM 2004 4th Edition

If your content is not using one of these standards then the LMS will face issues. Please check the End User Requirement Guide for the latest information on AICC/SCORM support. 

Troubleshooting content is not easy and might end up being the content code to be updated. It is suggested that you reach out to the content vendor to assist in troubleshooting and fixing the content.
