This article explains how to use the End-User Experience Monitoring (EEM) data provider.

1. Objectives 

The Data provider /STDF/DP_EEM is used to monitor SAP End-User Experience.

2. Supported Renderers

The EEM data provider supports this following renderers :

  • Area Chart
  • Bar Chart
  • Line Column
  • Dual Line Chart
  • Dual Bar Chart
  • Dual Line Column
  • Line Chart
  • Stack Bar Chart
  • Stack Column Chart
  • Column Chart
  • Bar Chart 
  • Table History Renderer
  • Trend Table Renderer
  • SLR Renderer
  • SLR Table Renderer

Here is an example of displayed data using the EEM data provider with the LINE_CHART renderer :

3. Tabs description

The EEM data provider has three tabs : Agent, Script and Metric.

4. Validation

We will compare the results displayed in the OCC Dashboard with the source in the User Experience Monitoring in the solution managerWe will validate the different metrics related to EEM data Provider.

4.1 Response Time metric Validation

Query : 

/STDF/DP_EEM:agent=vhcala4hsmci|script=UXMon Selfcheck Script|metric=RESPONSE_TIME|visible=true|legend=|COLOR=#ff930f|OCC_JUMP_IN=|display_value=false

In order to validate this metric :

1. Firstly,Use the transaction sm_workcenter.

2. Secondly,Enter the tab system and applications monitoring 

3. Finally, enter the tab user experience monitoring 

4. enter the response time graph 


5. choose the appropriate time range and compare the values

4.2 Status metric Validation

Query : 

/STDF/DP_EEM:agent=vhcala4hsmci|script=UXMon Selfcheck Script|metric=STATUS|visible=true|legend=|COLOR=#45cc55|OCC_JUMP_IN=|display_value=false


In order to validate this metric :

1. Firstly,Use the transaction sm_workcenter.

2. Secondly,Enter the tab system and applications monitoring 

3. Finally, enter the tab user experience monitoring 

4. enter the Status Tab


5. choose the appropriate time range and compare the values
