Purpose

The purpose of this page is to introduce the BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG background job & the RSBATCH_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG report.

Overview

Job BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG contains the report RSBATCH_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG which is scheduled periodically to write the lock manager log into a batch process.

Details

Report RSBATCH_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG is scheduled periodically to write the lock manager log into a batch process.
This report must neither be descheduled nor deleted, as long as BW is working live, because otherwise any error messages that appear are not
written to the application log.

Scheduling can be changed to more than every 5 minutes, but application logs will only be updated based on this job frequency. 

It can be unscheduled for system downtime.

The job name used must be BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG.
