Question or Problem

There exists an issue with Include /DSCSAG/LDOCUMENT2U38 when installing ECTR 520 SP04 / S4ECTR110 SP 04 (or jumping to a higher SP e.g. 05 including SP04).

In include /DSCSAG/LDOCUMENT2U38: in line 572 of program "/DSCSAG/SAPLDOCUMENT2" the following syntax errors have occurred:
The data object 'LS_DOC_FILE_URLS' does not have a component called 'MIMETYPE'.

Causes or Possible Causes

The instructions in note 2773527 / 2774097 were not followed for this section:

In addition to the SAP Notes specified for installation without SPs, the following SAP Notes apply for SP04 of ECTR 520

In addition to the SAP Notes specified for installation without SPs, the following SAP Notes apply for SP04 of S4ECTR 110


The structure cdesk_srv_s_file_update_url has been extended with note 3006908 with a new component "MIMETYPE".

So this note must be installed in the system before SP04 will be installed. 

Diagnostic Steps

Use transaction SE11 to view structure cdesk_srv_s_file_update_url. There should be a component "MIMETYPE". If not, the mandatory notes listed in 2773527 / 2774097 are missing.


Known Errors and Solutions


(lightbulb) In future read note 2049249 / note 2325172  before you install a SP for ECTR / S4ECTR!

To fix this issue install at least this note:

  • 3006908 - Fixed: FM CDESK_SRV_GET_FILE_UPLOAD_URL does not return the MIME type


Additional information

All of the notes listed in note  2773527 / 2774097 have to be installed for SP 04 not just the list under section SP 04.
